Zune Error Screen: What's Microsoft thinking?
Now I've had some close contact with Microsoft's decision making process with my past job, so I can sort of imagine how this went down. But even still, I can't really get how this one made it all the way through the decision making process.
Is this supposed to be edgy and cool? Are we supposed to think the girl is in agony or ecstasy? Who knows. Maybe someone at Microsoft will finally come forward and explain it all. Because I just don't get it.
On the user experience level above all this, error screens shouldn't make you wonder what the hell is going on in the background. Leave it to Microsoft to come up with a brand new flavor of usability offenses.
